The Quarantine Facility

Built on Kimberley SPCA grounds, a new quarantine facility has been erected to accomodate the young flamingoes before their release back into the wild.

This facility incorporates two enclosures, one with a built in pool, a clinic, and operational and administrative offices. It has been designed especially for flamingoes but will also be suitable for any type of water bird.

In our ever changing world, it is unavoidable to encounter again the same crisis the Lesser Flamingo has faced in 2019. In preparation for future disasters, this quarantine facility will play a crucial role for conservation by helping the species in need.
